STEVE
Steve’s Story
There was a homeless woman camped directly behind our house in the alley for a few weeks. It was during the heat of the summer, so every few days I would take water back to her.
On the second week of her being there, I went to take her water, and she was in tears, over this little dog she had obtained.
She said “they told me the kids were abusing him, so I hopped the bus down to the avenues, and took him… my friend took the bigger dog, but I wasn’t going to leave them there.”
The dog she had was Steve. When she showed me his tail, the bone was sticking out, and the skin around it had been torn, or chewed off. It looked horrific. I told her I would take over if she would give him up, she was elated.
Steve is a tiny person in a weird dog body. He does great with the dogs, doesn’t care about cats, and can jump higher than Alan Iverson. He is a wildly smart dog, and LOVES to learn new tricks!
Steve would do best with an owner that has had experience with dogs, and would want to continue teaching Steve cool things to do! He is an active dog, and would do best with an active adventure buddy!
