BRUCE
Bruce’s Story
Leaving for an appointment in December, I pulled out onto one of our busiest streets, and saw little Bruce, running IN the road. Not on the sidewalk or darting traffic, but running directly into oncoming traffic.
I quickly pulled over, and with the help of an amazon driver, we were able to get Bruce to turn down a street with less traffic. However, I couldn’t get within 100 feet of him, without him bolting.
He took off before I could track him. I decided I would go to the appointment and come back to look for him after.
Two hours later to my surprise there was Bruce on the same street corner, with the same petrified look on his face.
It took Sarah and I two days to catch him. He is FAST. He was also, totally lost, confused and scared. Like many dogs in this area, Bruce had no collar, tags, chip, he was not neutered, and had no one looking for him.
We knocked on doors, and posted on lost dog sites, in hopes someone was missing their little dude. No one came forward.
Bruce would do best with someone that loves to cuddle, and dote over their little critters! Bruce does fantastic with other dogs, and loves to be loved, but he needs a slow introduction as he still gets spooked with knew people, but warms up quickly. We don’t know how he is with cats, but I suspect due to his sweet, submissive behavior, he would be just fine.
